Not very long, I'm happy with how far I've gotten in that amount of time. 2. What software do you use?I use Photoshop CS2 and occasionally PSP 3. Describe your scrapping style or work space? My work space.. lol it's messy. I usually work from my computer in my room and I'm probably the messiest person ever. My room and desk are messy but I know where everything is. I never know where everything is if my room is clean. I keep telling my mom that when she tells me to clean my room but she doesn't get it lol. My scrapping style.. I'm not sure I really have one but with my latest kit I tried to get it more realistic. And I guess from now on I'll be going for that, I love the realistic look. 4. What are your scrap goals? To keep improving and get to where I want to be as a designer. I have some favorite designers that always have that realistic look that I love, I'd love to be able to do what they do. 5. Tell us about yourself....Well, my name is Shilo. It's pronounced Shy-low. I tell people my name and everyone says like that dog?! I'm 17 and I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I plan on going to culinary school at the Art Institute of Indianapolis within the next year and hopefully becoming a chef. I haven't decided between culinary or baking and pastry yet but if I go with baking and pastry then I hope to eventually have my own bakery. 6. If you could meet 1 other digital designer, who would it be? This is a tough one for me because there's 3 people that come to mind: Leaonna from Busy Scrappin, Kathy from Carolina Girls, and Jen from Jen Smith Designs. I think it'd be hard to choose just one. They've all been so nice to me and talked to me and helped me with things outside of scrapping. I'd love to meet all of them. 7. What's your favorite product that you have designed and why?Probably my "Every Girl is a Princess" kit that I'm about to put into my stores today. I like it because it's the closest I've gotten to the realistic look I want. I'm not fully there yet but almost. I also love it because alot of the elements are unique and were made completely by me and I haven't seen anything like them before. And here is a wonderful freebie from Shilo! How long have you been scrapping? I have traditional scrapped for several years, but have been digital scrapping for about a year now. I’ve done a lot of tagging and other graphic design over the years as well.
2. What software do you use? Photoshop CS3, PSP 9, and PSE6
3. Describe your scrapping style or work space? I’m a very clean scrapper. I love white space and focusing on the photo. I am also extremely drawn to anything that has an element cluster!

I’m going to school full time at Kaplan University for Business Administration.

7. What's your favorite product that you have designed and why? I think my favorite so far is my Jaxon Exploding Box. I love anything Hybrid and exploding boxes have always been a favorite of mine. ~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~ SFS Creative Team Member: Amy (familyhistoryscrapper) Blog URL: http://familyhistoryscrapper.blogspot.com/ Gallery Link
Amy is a special part of the Creative Team here at ScrappinFreestyle. She works with different SFS Designers each month to create beautiful layouts using their fun products.
1. How long have you been scrapping? I started digi-scrapping almost a year ago now, back in September 2007. I loved paper scrapbooking before that, but never had the right space for all my materials. So when I found digi-scrapping and the easy "storage" of my supplies, I was thrilled!
2. What software do you use? I used Paint Shop Pro to make my scrapbook pages. Every single day, I learn something new about the program that I didn't know before, which allows me to try new things on my layouts.
3. Describe your scrapping style or work space? Well, I actually have two spots. My desktop computer and my laptop. Before I got a new laptop, I had to do all my scrapbooking on my desktop computer because my older laptop didn't like Paint Shop Pro. I still use the desktop for some things, but now with my new laptop, my work space can be anywhere! Typically, it's relaxing on the couch, with my computer on my lap and sometimes my music playing or a DVD in the TV, and other times, I like the peace and quiet of just me and my scrapbooking! It just depends on the day!
4. What are your scrap goals? My goals are to scrap pages to showcase all my photos (many of which I still need to scan in), as well as to create a beautiful heritage album for both my mom and dad's side of the family tree.
5. Tell us about yourself.... When I'm not working on my computer doing something, you will most likely find me working on things for my school. I am a third-grade school teacher, a job which I adore! Otherwise, you may find me trying to dig up some old family record in my genealogy research!
6. If you could meet 1 digital designer or store owner, who would it be? Seeing as my favorite designer is RCMama, you'd think I would choose her…the only problem is I already know her!! There are so many designers out there who make such fantastic products, but if I had to choose one, I would have to say Jannidee from Janniscrap designers. I absolutely adore her designing style and her products, and getting to know her through her blog entries.
7. Do you have a favorite designer that you enjoy to work with? Well, I truly have to say that RCMama is my favorite designer to work with. If it hadn't been for her, I may not have found digi-scrapping in the first place. And it has been a joy to follow her along step-by-step in her own designing career!! AMY'S TIP FOR OTHER SCRAPPERS:Here is one of my favorite tips to get nice sharp looking layouts online. After your layout is all resized and ready to go, but right before you do your final save for the web, use your sharpen tool. This will really make the layout pop when its up in an online gallery!! ~*~*~*~~*~~* OK! Thank you Ladies for being in the Spotlight this wonderful Friday! We hope that you will take advantage of Michelle's wonderful coupon and don't forget to check out Amy's layouts in the gallery! Labels: coupon, fantastic friday, Team Spotlight
